Welcome to Sicamous, British Columbia

Sicamous
The Gateway Community to the Past
Situated in the beautiful Eagle Valley, Sicamous has long been a place of gathering and community as it is located at the joining of the Shuswap and Mara Lakes, Highway 1 and 97A, and was once a major stop on the railway system.

The Sicamous & District Museum & Historical Society is a non-profit society that collects, documents and preserves the history of our beautiful lake town.

Inside you will find a collection of photographs, artifacts and a to scale model of the C.P.R. Sicamous Hotel.

Volunteers Needed!!

As our museum staff member transitions in a long-term maternity leave, the museum is in need of volunteers willing to donate some time to help with the day to day operations.

Tasks include checking the email, ensuring board members receive necessary information regarding funding and museum activities, and gallery upkeep. If you are interested in volunteering at the museum, please contact us by phone or email. Staff hours are limited so in person meetings must be scheduled. Thank you!
